Congratulations to students at Kingdown School in achieving a fantastic set of results that reflects their hard work, dedication and commitment throughout their studies in Sixth Form. They are an amazing group of young people who have significantly contributed to the life of Kingdown School.

We are very proud of our students’ achievements and wish them every happiness and success in their future lives.

Our headline figures are:

  • The pass rate across all courses is 100%
  • 25% of A Level entries are at grades A* or A
  • 55% of A Level entries are at grades A*-B
  • 87% of A Level entries are at grades A*-C
  • The average point score per A Level entry is 36.7

Further successes were achieved in:

  • 100% Distinction* to Pass in Applied and BTEC courses
  • 100% Distinction* to Distinction in Double BTEC courses
  • 95% of EPQ grades were at A* to C

A Level results

These figures are based on students who entered at least one A level or AS level. A levels are available in a wide range of subjects, including English, maths, sciences, languages and humanities. The primary purpose of A levels is to prepare students for degree-level study at university.

Academic Qualifications results

Academic qualifications include A levels but also other ‘level 3’ academic qualifications such as International Baccalaureates and Pre-U. Tech Level results

Tech levels are level 3 qualifications for students wishing to develop the specialist skills and knowledge for a technical occupation or industry. They lead to recognised occupations, for example in engineering, IT, accounting or professional cookery.
