Key Stages

Key Stage 3

At Key Stage 3, we build on the knowledge, understanding and skills that students have developed in their primary school.

Throughout Key Stage 3, all students study English, Maths, Science, PSHE, PE, Geography, History, RS, French or Spanish, IT, Design, Art, Music and Drama.

Our aim is to:

  • Develop successful learners who make progress and achieve
  • Create confident and resilient individuals who are able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives
  • Create responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society
  • Address deficits and gaps in learning from Key Stage 2
  • Getting all students ready for Key Stage 4

We continue to review the curriculum offered to students at Kingdown School, building on existing good practice and looking at the challenges and opportunities that may face our students in the future.
