Preparations are already underway for one of the most anticipated events in the Kingdown music calendar: the Christmas Concert 2026, taking place on Wednesday 16th December at 6.30pm in the beautiful surroundings of Minster Church, Warminster.
The concert is a unique occasion, bringing together some of Kingdown's finest musicians for an evening of festive music in a truly special setting. We are now inviting students to audition for solo, duet and small ensemble performances as part of this year's programme.
Students wishing to audition should first ensure they are available for the concert itself, as well as rehearsals and preparations during the day on 16th December. Performance pieces should be Christmas or winter themed and ready to be performed confidently to a high standard.
Auditions will take place on Friday 13th November. A schedule will be published and performers notified on Wednesday 11th November.
To sign up for an audition, please complete the form linked here: Christmas Concert 2026 AUDITION SIGN UP
There are only a limited number of performance slots available, so auditions are required for all soloists, duets and small ensembles. Students may audition with more than one piece or as part of multiple groups, although only one performance may be selected for the final programme.
Not interested in auditioning? There will still be plenty of opportunities to be involved. Both Choir and MXD will be preparing performances for the concert after half term, with no audition required to participate.
We look forward to discovering a fantastic range of festive performances and celebrating the season together in December.
