It’s hard to picture what life will be like in post 16 Education. Many of our students stay on to sixth form, but some want to seek a vocational training at Wiltshire College.
On Wednesday 28th November, 30 students went to Trowbridge campus for a taster day. They explored four different areas: carpentry, car mechanics, painting and decorating and brick laying.
During the day, the students made tea light holders, rag painted, checked out what was under the bonnet of a car and were given a tour of the brick laying facilities. The students were complimented on their behaviour by the Trowbridge Lecturers, making them great ambassadors for Kingdown School.
We had the pleasure of seeing some of our past pupils in their chosen trades. We look forward to seeing some of this cohort next year.
