Did you know that Kingdown School has supported local, national and global charities around Christmas time, for years?

Last year we supported the local community by donating to Food Banks – something we are looking forward to doing again in Term 4. This year, we’re supporting FSCI, or the ‘Foundation for Social Change and Inclusion’. They work with communities all over the world who are in need of support.

FSCI run a Christmas Shoebox appeal. These shoeboxes are delivered to children from marginalised communities in Bulgaria and Serbia.

We are asking students to bring in an item to pop in a shoebox which, with the rest of their group, will contribute to sending off as many shoeboxes as possible! Price isn’t important – whatever students are able to bring in, will be very gratefully received. A list of suggested items is below; we are asking students to pop their donations in the box at Reception, by tutor time on Friday 15th November.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
