Science Technician

Salary NJC Point 17 (£9.68 per hour)

Usual working weeks: 39 weeks

Usual hours of work: 37 hours per week

This is a term time only position

 A rare chance to join our professional team of Science Technicians at this excellent school has arisen. We are looking for a new Science Technician who will work within our superb science department.


The role will include:

  • Preparing practical resources and facilities to provide a high standard technical service for staff and students for Physical science lessons.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety at all times


We will be pleased to hear from you if you can show us you:

  • Have achieved grade C, or above, at GCSE in Maths and Science (preferably Physics)
  • Have experience of working in a laboratory environment, or be very willing to be trained
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have sound ICT skills
  • Have superb attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Be self-motivated, dedicated and consistent
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with a variety of staff and students
  • Be a really strong team player
