Key Stage 4 Results

Kingdown School is extremely proud of the GCSE results that have been achieved in 2016. Thanks to the hard work of the students and staff and the support of parents we have achieved an Attainment 8 score of 51.5pts, a rise of 0.5pts on results in 2015 and a Progress 8 score of 0.29. We are particularly proud that 98.5% of our students have achieved 5 GCSEs at grade A* to G, a rise on last year.

As a school, we are very proud of each and every one of our students and wish them all well as they embark on their next stage of education or training.

Under the new school measures our results are:

  • A progress 8 score of +0.29
  • An attainment 8 score of 51.5pts, a rise of 0.5pts from 2015
  • 61% achieved A* to C in English and mathematics
  • 17.7% achieved the EBacc
  • 74.8% achieved expected progress in English between KS2 and KS4
  • 74.6% achieved expected progress in mathematics between KS2 and KS4

Key Stage 5 results

The A level class of 2016 have achieved a fantastic set of results which reflect their tremendous hard work, and, the dedication and commitment of our staff.

We are very proud of their achievements and wish them every happiness and success in their future lives. 114 students were entered for A Level examinations:

  • The pass rate is 99.4%
  • The average point score is 737.0 (up from 719.0 last year)
  • The average point score per entry is 222.3
  • 46.7% of entries are at A*/A/B grade (up from 41.2% last year)
  • 27.4% of entries are at A*/A grade (up from 24.8% last year)
