Key Stage 4 Results

Thanks to the hard work of the students and staff and the support of parents, students at Kingdown School have achieved another excellent set of results at GCSE level in 2018.

The majority of subjects have now moved across to the new, harder GCSEs awarded at grade 9 to 1; our students have performed incredibly well.

Our headline figures include:

  • 75% gaining a grade 4 or higher in English
  • 70% gaining a grade 4 or higher in maths
  • 36 students (15%) gaining 5 or more grade 7s / As
  • 172 students (72%) gaining 5 or more grade 4s / Cs
  • An attainment 8 score of 47.0pts – equivalent to an average grade of 4.7 in each subject

Key Stage 5 Results

Congratulations to students at Kingdown School in achieving a fantastic set of results that reflects their hard work, dedication and commitment throughout their studies in Sixth Form. They are an amazing group of young people who have significantly contributed to the life of Kingdown School.

We are very proud of our students’ achievements and wish them every happiness and success in their future lives.

Our headline figures are:

  • The pass rate across all courses is 100%
  • 25% of A Level entries are at grades A* or A
  • 55% of A Level entries are at grades A*-B
  • 87% of A Level entries are at grades A*-C
  • The average point score per A Level entry is 36.7

Further successes were achieved in:

  • 100% Distinction* to Pass in Applied and BTEC courses
  • 100% Distinction* to Distinction in Double BTEC courses
  • 95% of EPQ grades were at A* to C
