The trophy for the Rotary Club Youth Speaks Public Speaking competition was won by Solomon Wood, Mia Johnson-Wright and Ben Coward, for their speech on ‘Favourite Things’.
Special mention should also be given to our two other teams who were fantastic ambassadors for Kingdown and gave excellent presentations: Ellie Chatwin, Libby Robinson & Katie Bourne, who spoke about ‘Discrimination Against Brussels (Sprouts!)’; and Sky Nurdin, Makenzie Leckie & Caitlyn Newble, who gave an impassioned speech on ‘Unreality TV’.
Narrowly missing out on the trophy were our runner-up team, comprised of Kim Russell, Kacey Watkins & Rachel Craft, who gave an incredibly powerful speech on ‘Teenage Mental Health’
Well done everybody – Kingdown School is very proud of you all…
