Students are assessed regularly in all subject areas at Key Stage 4 to inform teachers, students and parents of current progress towards targets. As in Key Stage 3, T-grades are used at Key Stage 4 which enable you to judge the likely GCSE potential of your son / daughter as they progress through their KS4 courses.
We believe that good communication between home and school is vital at this key point in a child’s education; please feel free to contact subject teachers and / or curriculum leaders if you have concerns about a particular piece of work, or about your child’s progress at any stage. A full list of staff email addresses is available here
Formal exam weeks are held in the summer term of Year 10, and in December / January of Year 11. Individual subjects also hold mock examinations at various other points throughout their courses.
