Kingdown School is extremely proud of the GCSE results that have been achieved in 2017. Thanks to the hard work of the students and staff and the support of parents we have achieved an Attainment 8 score of 48.0pts. With new GCSEs being awarded at grade 9 to 1 in English and Maths, our students have performed incredibly well.

As a school, we are very proud of each and every one of our students and wish them all well as they embark on their next stage of education or training.

Our headline figures include:

  • An attainment 8 score of 48.0pts
  • 70% gaining a grade 4 in English and Maths, equivalent to old C grade (up from 61.3% in 2016)
  • 15.0% achieving the EBacc
  • 79.8% gaining a grade 4 or higher in English
  • 73.8% gaining a grade 4 or higher in Maths
