The Year 13 class of 2018 have achieved a fantastic set of results which reflect their tremendous hard work and the dedication and commitment of our staff.

These students are an exceptional group of young people who have significantly contributed to the life of our school.

We are very proud of our students’ achievements and wish them every happiness and success in their future lives.

  • The pass rate across all courses is 99.3%
  • The average point score per entry is 34.4 – mid way between a B grade and a C grade
  • 24.% of entries are at grades A* or A
  • 48% of entries are at grades A*-B
  • 80% of entries are at grades A*-C

Congratulations to Rupa Budha who achieved 3 A*s and 1 A grade and is off to study Chemistry in London at University College London with ambitions to work in the pharmaceutical industry – well done on a fantastic set of results.

Kieran Strong, whose lifetime ambition is to work in medicine, is going to Bristol University for a gateway course to Medicine. Angharad Baggott also heads in to the medical world, achieving a lifetime ambition by starting a paramedic course at Worcester University and has shown great resilience overcoming the tragic death of her boyfriend Jackson in 2016.

Congratulations and best wishes to Charlotte Thurlow who achieved 1 A* and 2 As and is off to study Midwifery at Southampton University.

Sam Pike achieved 2 As and 1 B and is taking a gap year before heading off to university to study maths – we hope you enjoy both your gap year and future studies.

Lauren Knowles, who gained 2 A*s and 1 A is off to Exeter University to study Physics. We hope you enjoy your studies there and future career. Luke Hornsey achieved 2 A’s and 1 B grade and is also heading to Exeter to study a Masters in Physics – we wish you the very best of luck in all of your studies for the next four years.

Well done to our Head Girl Byrony Scutt who achieved 1 A*, 1 A and 2 B’s and is off to study Chemistry at Birmingham University.
